  • Multimedia content, including videos, GIFs, animations, and interactive charts, will play directly within the file. For example, videos hosted on YouTube will play within the PMF, and if there’s no internet connection, a thumbnail will appear instead.
  • Excel-style cell blocks will enable users to manipulate cell values and restore them to their original state, allowing for a more interactive experience with financial reports, for example.
  • Built-in code blocks with a Python interpreter or compute engine will allow users to run code or evaluate equations, which is particularly useful in research and engineering fields.

 

Interactive UI Elements:

  • Hierarchical page navigation with menu bars, sidebars, and tabs will simplify organization and navigation, especially for lengthy documents, compared to the traditional vertical scroll in PDFs.

In contrast to webpages, which necessitate server hosting, PMF documents offer lifelong access and independence from an internet connection for functionality. Although embedded videos require internet connectivity for playback, all other content and UI logic are self-contained within the document, ensuring seamless operation even without an active internet connection.
